National Youth Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and reverence in the primary section of Gajera Vidyabhavan, Sachin, to commemorate the birth anniversary of the great spiritual leader and youth icon, Swami Vivekananda. The programme was thoughtfully planned to help young students understand the values, ideals, and inspirational life journey of Swami Vivekananda in a simple and engaging manner.
The celebration began with a brief introduction by the teachers, explaining the significance of National Youth Day and why Swami Vivekananda is remembered as a guiding light for the youth of India. Students were told about his belief in the power of young minds and his famous message of self-confidence, strength, and service to humanity. This introduction set a positive and meaningful tone for the entire event.
The highlight of the celebration was a beautifully enacted skit by the primary students on the life of Swami Vivekananda. The skit showcased important phases of his life, starting from his childhood as Narendranath Datta, his curiosity and intelligence, his meeting with his spiritual guru Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, and his journey towards becoming a great monk and philosopher. The students confidently performed their roles, delivering dialogues with clarity and expressions that reflected deep understanding despite their young age.
Special emphasis was given to Swami Vivekananda’s teachings, such as believing in oneself, respecting all religions, and working selflessly for the welfare of society. Scenes from his historic speech at the Parliament of Religions in Chicago were also portrayed, leaving the audience inspired and proud. The skit effectively conveyed how his words continue to motivate millions of youths even today.
The teachers guided the students throughout the preparation, helping them learn teamwork, discipline, and stage confidence. Colorful costumes, simple props, and meaningful background music added charm to the performance. The audience, including teachers and fellow students, thoroughly enjoyed the skit and appreciated the efforts of the young performers.
The National Youth Day celebration at Gajera Vidyabhavan, Sachin, was not only an entertaining event but also an educational and inspiring experience. It encouraged students to follow the path of truth, courage, and hard work shown by Swami Vivekananda and reminded them that the youth are the true builders of a strong and progressive nation.
