World Soil Day

World Soil Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Gajera Vidyabhavan, Sachin on 4th December 2025 to create awareness about the importance of soil in sustaining life on Earth. The celebration aimed to help learners understand soil as a vital natural resource and encourage them to protect and conserve it for future generations.

The programme began with an informative session highlighting the importance of soil, explaining its role in agriculture, plant growth, water filtration, and supporting biodiversity. Learners were guided to understand how soil is the foundation of food security and environmental balance.

Students actively participated in activities showcasing the types of soil, such as sandy, clayey, and loamy soil. Through charts, models, and discussions, they learned about the characteristics and uses of each soil type, making the concept engaging and easy to understand.

Another key activity focused on the layers of soil. Learners explained the soil profile, including topsoil, subsoil, and bedrock, using creative models and presentations. This helped them gain a clear understanding of soil formation and its structure.

The celebration concluded with a strong message on soil conservation, encouraging students to adopt eco-friendly practices and respect nature. World Soil Day at Gajera Vidyabhavan, Sachin was a meaningful learning experience that instilled awareness, responsibility, and appreciation for the soil that sustains life.
