The Association for Traditional Youth Games and Sports India (ATYGSI) recently organized a spectacular event at the Manipur Sports Complex in Ahmedabad from July 29 to July 31, 2023-24. This much-anticipated sports extravaganza saw young athletes from across the region compete in various traditional games and sports, showcasing their talent and skills.
Supported by TAFTY GOS-Gujarat, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from schools and sports academies. One school, in particular, emerged as a dominant force in the competition. Gajera Vidyabhavan Sachin, with their dedicated and talented athletes, brought home a collection of medals, making their school and city proud.
In the U-17 Boys Volleyball category, the Gajera Vidyabhavan Sachin team displayed exceptional teamwork, skill, and determination, securing the prestigious Gold medal. Their hard work and commitment to the sport were evident in their seamless coordination and incredible performance on the court.
Not stopping at just one victory, the Gajera Vidyabhavan Sachin boys also excelled in the U-17 Boys Basketball category, earning a well-deserved Bronze medal. Their effort and sportsmanship were commendable, making them strong contenders in a competitive field.
The young athletes from Gajera Vidyabhavan Sachin showcased their prowess in individual events as well. In the U-11 Athletics Long Jump, their representative secured the Gold medal, leaping past the competition with an impressive display of skill and talent.
Behind these remarkable achievements, credit must be given to the dedicated coaches who played a crucial role in shaping these young athletes into champions. Pal Bimlesh sir, Fenil sir, and Saifuddin sir’s guidance, support, and expertise were instrumental in honing the skills of the Gajera Vidyabhavan Sachin team, allowing them to reach new heights in their respective sports.
The success of the Gajera Vidyabhavan Sachin team is a testament to the importance of promoting traditional youth games and sports in India. Such events not only encourage physical fitness but also foster discipline, teamwork, and a competitive spirit among the youth.
6TH National Championship & Games 2023-24 in Ahmedabad provided a platform for young athletes to showcase their talent, learn from each other, and forge friendships that will last a lifetime.
