In the spirit of honoring this mathematical prodigy, our school, Gajera Vidyabhavan Sachin, marked the occasion with a variety of engaging activities on December 22, 2023. The prime focus of the celebration was an exhibition showcasing mathematical models, involving students from grades 5 to 7.
Ramanujan’s exceptional prowess in mathematics was highlighted, including his groundbreaking work on the infinite series of π (pi) and his mastery of trigonometry at the tender age of 12. His contributions extended to number theory, with applications in cryptography, and he independently completed an astonishing 3900 results in his relatively short lifespan.
The exhibition featured an array of models created by students, each addressing different mathematical concepts such as fractions, decimals, integers, perimeter and area, laws of exponents, formulas, the metric system, and 3D shapes.
