National Doctor’s Day

National Doctor’s Day is celebrated every year on July 1st in India to honor the dedication and tireless service of doctors who work day and night to ensure our health and well-being. To instill gratitude and awareness in young minds, the Pre-Primary Section of Gajera Vidyabhavan, Sachin celebrated this special day with great enthusiasm and purpose.

The celebration began with a delightful skit performance by the tiny tots, who dressed up as doctors, nurses, and patients. The children enacted scenes that reflected the life of doctors and how they help people recover from illnesses. With colorful costumes and simple dialogues, the skit aimed to educate children about the importance of doctors in a fun and engaging way. Their innocent expressions and confident delivery brought smiles to everyone’s faces and left a lasting impression.

To make the learning more practical and meaningful, the students were taken on a visit to a nearby hospital. The children were warmly welcomed by the hospital staff and were given a short, guided tour of the pediatric section. The experience was enriching as it gave the children a real-world glimpse of how hospitals function and how doctors and nurses take care of patients with care and dedication.

A major highlight of the visit was the interactive session with a doctor, where the children got an opportunity to ask questions in their own curious way. The doctor patiently answered each query and spoke to the children about staying healthy, eating good food, and not being afraid of doctors. It was a heartwarming moment when the children presented handmade ‘Thank You’ cards as a token of their appreciation.

This celebration not only brought joy and excitement but also helped the children understand the value of empathy, respect, and community helpers. It was a beautiful way of showing gratitude towards our real-life heroes – the doctors – and encouraging young learners to appreciate their role in our lives.
