Parents play a vital role in the development of the child. Parent-Child share a unique bond, as through it how an individual will be connected with others will define. A child’s personal, physical, biological, and mental well-being is impacted by the parent’s behavior toward the child.

Parents and relationships with parents have a prominent role in an individual life. This relationship is the foremost relation of individual lives, as it defines how an individual will connect with other individuals. Relationships between parent and child are one of the aspects of a child’s personality and ethics. This later defines how an individual becomes and serves society. According to the individuals ‘parenting, their ethics are built which defines whether an individual becomes productive or unproductive and good or bad for humankind.

Parenting style plays a vital role in developing the skills of an individual. A good parenting style provides an opportunity for a child to grow up and have optimistic, confident, physical, emotional, and social behavior. Successful parenting results in a child’s psychological adjustment, helps adults’ life succeed, encourages curiosity about the world, and motivates them to achieve goals and success.

Young children who grow up with a secure and healthy attachment to their parents stand a better chance of developing happy and content relationships with others in their lives. It also helps children to exhibit optimistic and confident social behavior. Parents’ behavior plays a crucial role in shaping their children’s brains and overall development.

Parenting is observed as an activity that consists of many specific behaviors, all of which work individually as well as together to impact a child’s outcomes. Many writers have considered that the broad pattern of parenting is more effective in evaluating child well-being than specific parenting practices. There are marked variations in parenting styles that parents adopt to direct and socialize their children (Baumrind 1991). Although parents differ in the way they try to control or socialize their children and the level to which they do so, it is believed that the primary role of all parents is to influence, teach, and guide their children.

Parenting is what shapes how a child behaves, responds, and reacts in different circumstances of life and the kind of adults they become. The most common approach to parenting is establishing a level of control over their children to make them disciplined and with the motto of making their lives as easy as possible while maintaining harmony at home. Parenting is seen as a complete process rather than a single activity, involving various ways of dealing with and behavior patterns to look after and groom the child.

In summary, the relationship between parents and their children is of utmost importance in shaping an individual’s character, behavior, and contributions to society. Positive parenting leads to well-adjusted and successful individuals, while negative or absent parenting can have adverse effects on a child’s development. It is crucial for parents to recognize the impact they have on their children and strive to provide a nurturing and supportive environment for their growth and well-being.
