On the occasion of Plastic Bag Free Day, Gajera Vidyabhavan, Sachin took a significant step towards creating awareness about the harmful effects of plastic on our environment. With a firm commitment to promoting eco-friendly habits among learners, the school organized impactful activities that blended education with creativity.
The celebration began with a powerful mime performance by the students, which portrayed the devastating effects of plastic pollution on marine life, animals, and the overall ecosystem. Without speaking a single word, the learners communicated a strong message — that our daily choices can either harm or heal our planet. Their expressions, actions, and synchronization left the audience reflective and inspired.
Following the mime, an interactive activity titled “Say Yes and No” was conducted. Students enthusiastically participated in the activity by identifying items they should say “Yes” to (like cloth bags, jute bags, paper bags) and those they should say “No” to (like single-use plastic bags, plastic packaging, and straws). This engaging session helped reinforce their understanding of alternatives to plastic and empowered them to make better choices.
Through these thoughtful and engaging initiatives, the learners of Gajera Vidyabhavan, Sachin not only raised awareness but also pledged to become eco-warriors in their communities. The school continues to stand by its vision of nurturing socially responsible citizens who care for the environment and are ready to lead positive change.
