Celebrating Science Day with Creativity: A Poster Making Competition
February 28th, the birthday of Sir C.V. Raman, marks the celebration of National Science Day in India. Our school commemorated this day by organizing a poster making competition for our young scientists of 1st and 2nd standard. The theme of the competition was “Science and Technology for Sustainable Future”.
Objective
The objective of this competition was to encourage our young students to think creatively about science and its applications in our daily lives. We aimed to provide a platform for our students to express their ideas and imagination through art.
The Competition
The competition was held in the school auditorium, where students from 1st and 2nd standard gathered with their colorful posters. The students were given a brief introduction to the theme and were asked to create posters that depicted their understanding of science and technology.
Creativity Unleashed
As the competition began, the students’ creativity was unleashed. They used various materials like paint, markers, glitter, and even recycled materials to create their masterpieces. The posters were a testament to the students’ imagination and understanding of the theme.
Judging Criteria
A panel of judges, comprising of our school teachers, evaluated the posters based on the following criteria:
– Creativity and originality
– Relevance to the theme
– Use of colors and materials
– Overall presentation
Winners
After careful evaluation, the judges announced the winners. The winners were awarded prizes and certificates of appreciation. The winning posters were also displayed in the school hallway for everyone to admire.
The poster making competition was a huge success. It not only encouraged our students to think creatively about science but also provided a platform for them to showcase their talents. We are proud of our young scientists and look forward to seeing their future endeavors.
