On Thursday, 5th December 2024, the pre-primary section of Gajera Vidyabhavan Sachin came alive with enthusiasm and creativity as the young learners celebrated *World Soil Day.* This special occasion served as an opportunity to introduce the children to the significance of soil in sustaining life on Earth through engaging, hands-on activities tailored to their age and curiosity.
The Junior KG class participated in an interactive sand activity where children explored the texture, feel, and properties of soil. They learned how soil provides a foundation for plants to grow, sparking their curiosity about the natural world. In the Senior KG class, students took their creativity a step further by crafting clay utensils. This activity allowed them to understand the versatility of soil while enhancing their fine motor skills and artistic expression. Meanwhile, the Balvatika class engaged in an educational activity focused on identifying different types of soil, such as sandy, clayey, and loamy soils. Additional activities across the pre-primary section included potting plants and creating soil-themed artwork.
