Vasant Panchami, a revered festival among Hindus dedicated to honouring Goddess Saraswati, was joyously celebrated on February 14, 2024, by the staff and students of Gajera Vidyabhavan, Sachin. The auspicious occasion commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by our esteemed Principal Mr. Nitin Patil and Vice Principal Mrs. Anju Mistry, accompanied by students and parents, symbolizing the dispelling of darkness and the ushering in of knowledge and wisdom.
The event unfolded with a rich tapestry of cultural performances, showcasing the vibrant traditions of Indian culture while instilling values and ethics among the students. Saraswati Vandana by our Music teacher and shlok recitation added a touch of grace and spirituality to the proceedings. Students enthralled the audience with mesmerizing dance performances, while a poignant skit underscored the significance of Vasant Panchami, encapsulating its essence and cultural importance.
In addition to honouring Goddess Saraswati, the celebration also encompassed Matru Pitru Diwas, a day dedicated to expressing gratitude and reverence towards parents. Students wholeheartedly participated in performing poojas for their parents, acknowledging their invaluable role in shaping their lives with love, care, and guidance.
The culmination of the program featured insightful speeches by our Vice Principal, Mrs. Anju Mistry, who imparted valuable advice to the students, emphasizing the importance of setting goals and prioritizing studies for future success.
