“Rakhi,” also called Raksha Bandhan, symbolizes the true love and bond between brothers and sisters. Rakhi has deep significance, and it has been used for the protection of the person who tied it on his hand from mythological times. This sacred thread was used by Lords Indra, Queen Karnavati, Kunti, Rabindranath Tagore, and other famous personalities to create harmony in the world. During times of war between Lords and demons, Rakhi was used by Indrani.
Rakhi-making competitions were organized at Gajera Vidya Bhavan School, Sachin campus, during morning assemblies. Students from 5th to 7th grade made eco-friendly rakhis using rice, pulses, chana dal, etc., and also utilized waste materials like matchsticks, cotton, thread, etc. The students enthusiastically participated in this competition and showcased their talent by creating beautiful and creative handmade rakhis using rice, pulses, chana dal, and waste materials.
The judges ranked the rakhi competition, and our Principal, Mr. Nitin Patil, and Vice Principal, Mrs. Anju Mam, appreciated the students for their unbelievable work.
