Annually, on August 15th, India commemorates its freedom from British colonial rule in 1947. Independence Day 2023 marks the 77th celebration of this historic event. This day symbolizes the culmination of a challenging fight for freedom, led by iconic figures such as Mahatma Gandhiji, Bhagat Singh, and Subhash Chandra Bose. It remains a pivotal moment in Indian history, honoring nonviolent civil disobedience and visionary leadership.
India proudly celebrates its 77th Independence Day, signifying 76 years of freedom. The theme for this year’s celebration is “Nation First, Always First” an integral part of the broader “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” Celebration. In 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also introduced the “HAR GHAR TRINGA” Campaign, encouraging the public to participate in the flag-hoisting ceremony on Independence Day, August 15, 2023.
Keeping this year’s theme in mind, Gajera Vidyabhavan Sachin celebrated Independence Day enthusiastically. The chief guests for the celebration were Mr. J. R Chaudhary – P. I Sachin Police station, Mr. Pravin Prasad – Assistant Commissioner, SMC Sachin zone, Mr. Nileshbhai Gamit – Vice President, GIDC Sachin, Mr. Sushil Kumar Tiwari – Retired Soldier, Mr. Girishbhai Malvi – Former Deputy collector, and Mr. Keyurbhai Mangrodia – Manager At Laxmi Infra. The celebration started with a March past with guests, followed by the flag hoisting, parade, speeches, dramas, patriotic songs, and dance performances by the learners. Later, the respected guests adorned the stage with their valuable and encouraging words.
Principal Mr. Nitin Patil shared his thoughts on this special occasion. The vote of thanks was presented by Vice-Principal Mrs. Anju Mistry. Lastly, the program concluded with the National Song. Overall, the program was filled with joy and energy.
